Theory Behind the Project
My plan was to create a collection of zines based on real people’s experiences and stories from when they attended High School.
These zines are meant to provide comfort and entertainment through storytelling and social design. They’re to be placed in the counsellor's office or Library, smaller versions are made to take back and read.

The theory of Affective Forecasting (Timothy D. Wilson, Daniel T. Gilbert) is being able to accurately predict ones future emotional states, most people are presented with a situation and predict how they will feel about it before it happens, often overestimating the intensity, duration, and even the actual emotion one feels.
I wanted to collect real stories from real people about their experiences in High School and inspire ways of thinking in the reader, with my zines I can encourage positive affective forecasting in my target audience.
